Up to £43,600.00 per annum, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

The opportunity
As our Practice Development Nurse you will support the Matron, Governance Lead, and Clinical heads of department in delivering, training and education across the specialties delivered by the hospital

To coach, partner and support the clinical team at the point of care delivery, taking ownership of learning and professional development within the hospital and championing the delivery of the highest quality, patient care: care that is patient-centred, evidence-based, brand-defining and innovative; delivered in line with organisational, regulatory and governance requirements.

As part of the senior clinical team, to provide clinical leadership and specialist guidance to the hospital’s clinical workforce, promoting and enabling the delivery of evidence-based care through clinical education and the management of localised training and learning.

The person
To succeed as a Practice Development Nurse, you will need:

  • Good organisation and communication skills

  • Experience and / or qualifications in training, education and mentoring

  • The ability to identify training needs, design and deliver engaging and evidence based learning opportunities to meet the needs of the clinical areas

Overtime

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
