We are developing and expanding our Workforce service and the Practice Educator and Development Lead Officer role will contribute to creating the conditions for social work to thrive and take a lead role for practice development.

Your Role

We are seeking a Practice Educator and Development Lead Officer.

As a Practice Educator and Development Lead Officer in North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services, you will work as part of a team and contribute to the development and delivery of the Children’s Services Workforce Strategy and take a lead role in co-ordinating Practice Educators across the scope of children’s social care.

You will take a lead role in managing the Practice Educator functions to ensure good quality placements for social work students, including responsibility for overseeing, coordinating and supporting Practice Educators across children’s social care, whilst acting as a point of contact and additional practice education resource.  

Working collaboratively, you will take a lead role in managing the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment scheme and be responsible for supporting consistent standards and learning. 

  You will be part of the Workforce service whose work is highly valued and supported by skilled, knowledgeable and caring leaders and managers. We would welcome applications from individuals who are child centred and enabling,  who are ambitious for themselves, and the wider workforce through being strengths based and quality driven in their approach to support, develop and improve practice so that it makes a difference for children and families.
