Here at The Veterinary Hospital & Surgery we are looking for a full time Practice Manager to join our team working across our Gorleston and Lowestoft sites.
Our Gorleston veterinary hospital is a modern and fully equipped busy practice with a dedicated out of hours ‘MiNightVet' emergency service running 24/7 supporting other local practices during nights and weekends. Our Lowestoft surgery opened in 2019 and this year celebrated the opening of a specialist radioactive iodine treatment service for curing feline hyperthyroidism. We are very proud of both our sites which enable our most important asset – our people, to thrive.
We are looking for someone proactive with strong leadership and management skills to become a Practice Manager of all our sites and services. You should have a clean driving licence to be able to drive between sites. You should be a great problem solver and able to demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills, as well as effective team management on a daily basis. Therefore managerial and leadership experience is essential.
The Practice Manager will work in partnership with other key members of the Practice Management team to ensure we provide an outstanding and professional service to our clients and their patients. Within this role you will be involved in all aspects of managing a multi-site team, including financial responsibility, debt control, client complaints, people management and premises management. You should be a great problem solver and able to demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills, as well as effective team management on a daily basis.
Previous veterinary experience is not essential for this role, but you should be resourceful with strong leadership and planning skills. The ideal candidate would have strong people management and customer service skills, potentially from a retail or healthcare background or similar.
