Practice Manager

Up to £45,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

Responsibilities will include the day-to-day running of the practice whilst engaging and delivering the broader strategy within our company vision. You will be driving financial performance in collaboration with your practice leadership team, ensuring we meet our targets. You will be involved in all aspects of practice management and will have good knowledge of HR legislation, finance, payroll and H&S. Essential leadership skills are required to motivate the team, whilst maintaining our high practice standards to ensure the continued smooth running of the practice, whilst championing client relations. This role is Monday - Friday, weekend work if needed.

Our Lichfield RCVS accredited hospital is a Tier 3 Status hospital with modern, purpose-built premises, offering practicality with excellent facilities. We have 3 branch practices that all support the main hospital.
About the Team and Culture
By far the best part of our practices are our teams. We are a close-knit team of 18 Vets and wonderful team of nurses & support staff, who all work together to provide the very best service. We provide Orthopedic and Laparoscopic procedure's as well as having a separate Out Of Hours team that supports the hospital. We encourage CPD and additional qualifications to help our team develop.
Applicant Requirements
We're looking for a Practice Manager who brings experience in team management and leadership within the veterinary industry. Confidence, proactivity, and effective communication are the essential qualities that will drive your success at Pool House. The successful candidate will ideally have veterinary management experience. Day to day duties include:
• Leadership of the practice team
• Promotion and development/management of our fantastic reception team and client experience
• Business development and finance management
• Office management including stock control, schedules, holiday and absence management
• Involvement in the HR team
• Run health and safety with the support of team members
• Oversee and take responsibility for debt management
• Dealing with complaints
• Help maintain ethics and professional standards
