Practice Nurse / Nurse Associate

We are recruiting for a Practice Nurse who will fulfill all the traditional core responsibilities of the role, including: Chronic disease management Asthma /COPD / Spirometry monitoring Cytology Child Immunisations Vaccinations Contraception Response to urgent medical investigation led by GP Swabs, specimens, bloods, blood pressures Keeping accurate and detailed health records Involvement in QOF achievement Involvement in the MDT of the Surgery This role may develop to include: Lead in Infection Control Management Provide support and advice for Junior members of nursing team This postholder will also uphold the Surgeries protocols and policies, carrying out their role with compassion and professionalism. This role will support the wider team with: Clinical audits Safeguarding concerns Support and participate in shared learning over the Practice Support for GPs in patient care Ability to review clinical practices and respond to national policies and initiatives where necessary Participate in local initiatives in order to enhance local patient care where necessary Monitoring of safe storage, rotation and disposal of medicaments.
