Pre-Sales Underwriter

Job title: Pre sales Underwriter - Customer ServiceLocation: RemoteContract length: 6 monthsPay rate: £195.00 per dayWe're looking for someone to join our Underwriting department within Customer Services. You will become part of a team of Underwriters who work closely together with other Customer Service colleagues to make sure the needs of the business, customers and distributors are all met.Key responsibilities:Proven customer service delivery experience - desirable, but not essential, that this has been obtained in a financial services business area.Provide a telephone service for pre-sale enquiries, being the first point of contact for our advisers when they are looking to place business with us, providing accurate indications of underwriting decisions.Confident call handler, able to quickly anticipate callers needs and direct them to solutions either using your own knowledge or transferring the call to more experienced team members.Good IT literacy, allowing you post training to handle all incoming calls, make internal transfers, navigate flow charts, understand spreadsheets and access online underwriting manuals to provide indicative decisions to our customers.Ideally, a basic background or an interest in medical terminology and anatomical understanding.Handle all calls in a timely manner within agreed Service Level Agreements and always with the customer and our reputation in mind.Liaise with Customer Services when required, representing the Underwriting department in a positive and collaborative way.Display role model behaviours in line with company values, have good organisational and time management skills and be reliable and flexible.Desirable experience:Perfect candidate will ideally have a medical backgroundAdvantageous to have a background in a Financial Services EnvironmentRandstad Business Support is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
