Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Premises Officer to join our team at a Secondary School in Lewisham. The Premises Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and maintenance of the school premises. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify and address maintenance and security issues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
- Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance and repairs as needed
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents on the premises
- Assist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events or activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to premises management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in premises management or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
