Summary
We have a brand-new role for a Pricing Analyst with a large company, with an office in Central Manchester, close to major transport links.
The role will include getting into the "nitty gritty" on pricing, commercial analysis, cost / revenue analysis and inputting into pricing models. This position is in the Energy Sector and we are really looking for someone with some relevant industry experience with Energy or Power.
The Company
This is a company we have worked with for many years and placed numerous people into their data & analytics departments. It's a large company with significant operations in the UK and Europe.
They offer all positions on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office but can be fairly flexible.
In this role you will help develop structuring models, pricing methodologies and commercial tactics to price and mitigate market, credit, operational and contractual pricing risks whilst ensuring market competitiveness.
Your responsibilities / accountabilities in this role will be:
- Use detailed energy cost understanding to review and update pricing methodologies across the electricity cost stack: commodity and non-commodity.
- Provide competitive but profitable power prices to UK and non-domestic Sales Teams
- Update pricing systems with latest curves, pricing tables and calculate bespoke fees where required.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department and the wider business to understand risks and opportunities across the power portfolios.
- Take a leading role in power strategy and product offering.
- Collaborate and where relevant lead on pricing system changes.
- Identify improvements and support the streamlining of processes across the Sales Portfolio.
Requirements
- Strong numerical academic background
- SQL programming skills
- Ideally a little experience in python
- Relevant industry experience.
