Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5pm, Friday 8:30am – 4pm

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Pricing and Promotions Manager is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of the annual Trade Marketing budget for the Refresco UK brands portfolio (circa £3m). The Pricing and Promotions Manager’s role as the trade expert will help to ensure that profitable growth is achieved for the brand portfolio. Understanding the complexities of each channel and customer are integral in this role. Channel Marketing plays a cruicial role in overseeing promotional expenses and trade investments in alignment with the yearly budget. It also actively contributes to spotting and capitalizing on opportunities within the brand portfolio. The position is responsible for establishing effective systems, protocols, and best practices to efficiently manage trade spending and investments.

 

As the Pricing and Promotions Manager here are your key areas of focus:

  • Approval of all Pricing and Promotions across retail and wholesale inline with promotional calendars and agreed pricing from Head of Marketing / Commercial Director.
  • Have a key understanding of how each key customer manages its promotional cycles, ranges, terms & identify ways to maximize the brand portfolio’s volume and profit within these.
  • Able to assess and suggest improvements and changes based on the results of trade activity and performance.
  • Responsible for tracking trade spend on a monthly basis, working closely with the brands and sales team to ensure no overspend.
  • Sales data analysis and interpretation.
  • Pivotal in the preparation and presentation of customer and retailer presentations.
  • Manage all promotional calendars for all customers, ensuring they are kept up to date and executed each period
  • Management of systems to aid promotional decisions (SKU Track)
  • Provide integral support to all members of the Sales and Marketing teams and other internal departments.
  • Management of SLOBS process across brands
  • CPI Support
  • Developing proposals for volume and promotional spends for brand portfolio as part of annual budget planning.
  • Working alongside the commercial team, deliver trade initiatives to drive profitable sales with key customers.
  • Develop tools to track and analyse all promotional activity and spend.
  • Work with sales team and finance to identify and solve any invoice issues relating to promotional spend.
  • To ensure all budgets are met or exceeded in required timescales. Takes remedial action quickly to ensure budgets are delivered.
  • Creating cohesive reports for brand portfolio to assess epos sales, category performance and market data. Using this information to provide insight, ideas and solutions to the wider marketing and commercial team.

 

About You:

  • 1-3years experience within FMCG Sales/Marketing environment.
  • High level of numeracy, excellent understanding of excel.
  • A good communicator.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Background knowledge of soft drinks market desirable.
  • Hold the ability to present/discuss with confidence.
  • Can work under pressure and adhere to deadlines .
  • Be a self starter.
  • Be able to handle responsibility and able to make decisions.
  • Highly numerate and financially and commercially astute.
  • Can manage multiple projects and tasks
