PRICING MANAGER - INSURANCE

THE COMPANY
This company focuses on travel insurance across the UK and globally. They specialise in travel insurance for customers who might usually struggle with other insurers due to illness.
THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
- Leading and mentoring a small team, offering daily support, and nurturing their professional growth.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to comprehend profit drivers and stay informed about market trends.
- Analysing industry shifts and evaluating competitors' pricing strategies.
- Generating diverse monitoring reports using appropriate tools to proactively oversee and make informed decisions, optimising pricing and improving profitability.
- Developing and implementing effective pricing strategies, presenting them to senior management.
- Playing a significant role in guiding the team toward strategic objectives by providing pricing recommendations and insights based on lead modelling and analysis.
- Collaborating with various departments to enhance data quality and leverage it for improving pricing models.
- Developing and maintaining the price optimiser and all associated components contributing to the calculation.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Crafting and delivering timely updates/proposals in the weekly pricing committee, communicating the impact of pricing strategies.
- Assisting the head of pricing in developing and shaping the direction of the pricing function with creativity.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for pricing with key stakeholders.
- Infusing curiosity and data science innovation into the team.
- Undertaking any additional duties and responsibilities reasonably expected within the role.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within pricing.
- Experience in retail pricing/optimisation within General Insurance/Broker market is ideal.
- Proficiency using Earnix.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A mathematics, finance, economics or related degree from a Russel Group University.
- Experience using a diverse set of tools, including R, SAS, SQL, Python or Earnix.
