Primary Behaviour Mentor needed in Langley Marish

Supply Desk are looking for someone who has a passion for playing a crucial role in supporting individuals for developing and maintaining positive behaviours. Supply Desk are looking to find someone who will be able to implement strategies to address challenging behaviours and create an inclusive environment Behaviour Mentor collaborates with educators, parents and helps to promote social and emotional well being

Role: PrimaryBehaviour Mentor

Location: Langley Marish

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors.

- Establish clear and measurable goals to address specific behaviour challenges.

- Use intervention strategies when needed and to make sure it is effective and you are able to quickly adapt

- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to share and have input on behavioural concerns.

- Attend regular meetings to discuss progress, adjustments to plans, and the implementation of consistent strategies.

- Create skill-building sessions to enhance the social and emotional behaviours of the students with a positive impact

- Regularly observe and assess the individual's behaviour in different settings

- Stay current with research and best practices in behavioural analysis and intervention.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, counseling, or a related field. Or Experience with challenging behaviour (Unqualified with prior or similar experience, also welcome to apply)

- Experience in behavioural analysis and intervention, preferably in an educational or social setting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work well with a range of individuals, including students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.

- Able to commute to Langley Marish
