Shape A Life is supporting a nursery and infant school in Walsall and they require a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in Year 2 for the upcoming academic year.
We are looking for individuals who currently hold or are predicted to obtain a degree and are interested in pursuing a career working with young children, potentially in teaching, childcare, or health and social care.
This will be a term-time only position starting in September 2024, and the school will be conducting interviews at the beginning of July.

Your Key Responsibilities:
· Providing 1:1 and small group pupil support under the direct supervision of teaching staff.
- Supporting independent learning and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Promoting positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Assisting the teacher in managing behaviour and keeping pupils on task.
- Assisting in planning and learning activities.
- Occasionally supervising the class for a brief period when a teacher is not available.
- Promoting and reinforcing the inclusion, acceptance, and integration of all pupils.
You will need:
- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in primary school education.
- A degree of 2:2 or above. Any degree is acceptable.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
