Job description
Primary Mental Health Practitioner CAMHS Band 6 BHSCT. The post holder is a member of CAMHS and will be a Primary Mental Health practitioner across the service responding to identified service needs. They will have responsibility for clinical work of their own caseload of children and young people with emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The post holder will have a level of skills, knowledge and competencies to provide assessments, planning, and interventions to children and young people within best practice guidelines. The post holder will work in linking, supporting and integrating across CAMHS in meeting the needs of children and young people within the stepped care model of CAMHS.

Two years post qualifying experience of which at least one must be work within mental health services or services related to children and adolescent or CAMHS.Full current driving license with access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of suitable disabled applicants who cannot hold a driving licence. , Qualification and / or experience in the planning / delivery of Community Development initiatives.Experience of facilitating groups /group work with children and adolescents.
