Education and Skills - Building Bright Futures

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our MNERS Team for a part-time (0.6) Primary Teacher, with additional KS3 Maths delivery, based at Salisbury District Hospital.

Our dedicated Medical Needs Education & Reintegration Service (MNERS) specialises in supporting school age students who are unable to attend their school for health related reasons.

In this role, you will teach students referred to MNERS in small groups using online platforms or via individual support, meaning some remote working will be required alongside attendance at Wiltshire Council hub bases for team meetings and training. Support for Maths delivery will be provided. Travel within Wiltshire may be required to support students who require bespoke tutoring arrangements. You will plan and deliver effective lessons and use a range of assessment strategies to monitor students’ progress. You will work closely with schools and, where appropriate, support students' re-integration back into mainstream schooling alongside attending multi-agency meetings with key partner agencies such as schools, health and CAMHS.

We are seeking an experienced qualified Teacher with a proven track record of supporting learners to achieve. You will have experience of using a virtual classroom and of supporting vulnerable young people and those with complex needs. A strong understanding of the principles of safeguarding children and young people, the use of escalation processes and multi-agency working is essential. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to engage and motivate children and young people with a creative and flexible approach.
