We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Primary School Teaching Assistant, providing 1:1 support in Year 3. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized 1:1 support to a Year 3 student, catering to their specific learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing effective teaching strategies and activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student, promoting engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create and implement tailored educational plans.
- Monitor and assess the student's progress, providing feedback to both the student and the class teacher.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a Primary School setting.
- Knowledge of Year 3 curriculum and an understanding of various learning styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm.
- Long-term position until July, with the potential for extension.
