Job Title: Primary Teacher Location: Bournemouth Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Temp to Perm) Salary: Competitive Are you a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the school team. The role is a full time position starting in September and you will be working with an excellent and supportive SLT. The school have an excellent reputation locally and you will be working with young people from the age of 5-11 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, associated with a range of special educational needs, including autism. The school have high staffing levels to support their pupils and the school is a calm and nurturing place for young people to thrive. Job Description: As a Primary Teacher, you will play a crucial role in helping the students overcome their unique challenges. Your responsibilities will include: • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. • Building strong relationships with students, fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment. • Collaborating with the school's multi-disciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and counsellors, to develop personalised education plans. • Tracking and reporting on students' progress, adjusting instructions as necessary. • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional development in the classroom. • Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. • Experience working with students with SEMH needs. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Adaptability and a compassionate approach to teaching.
