Job Title:Teaching Assistant
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Long-term Supply (must be available 8:30am to 3:30pm at least 2/3 days per week)
Location: Kettering, NN14
Salary: £85-100 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Kettering. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of primary school students in a mainstream setting. You may also be required to provide additional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This position offers flexibility, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or supply work to suit your schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as directed
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with SEN in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
Requirements:
- Some experience working with children, either personally or professionally
- Classroom experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
