Primary Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic squad! 
 
An excellent primary school with an exceptional learning environment in Newcastle is looking to appoint a creative Teaching Assistant to join their energetic and forward-thinking team.
The headteacher would like to hear from candidates that have ideas about the primary curriculum along with having a real passion to support pupils in the classroom.
The main duties as a Primary Teaching Assistant will include:

• Supporting the pupils in their education
• Supporting and managing behaviour
• Working with the class teacher to implement interventions
• Supporting and delivering creative and innovative lessons
• Using formative and summative assessment
• Assessing phonics following the school’s chosen program
• Promoting independence with life skills
• Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care

The ideal candidate will:

• Be available for work Monday to Friday
• Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
• A fully checkable work history
