Principal Accountant - High Needs / Schools

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Principal Accountant to support Schools Finance. Joining a high profile team with safety valve funding, and using your specialist education finance knowledge, you will be the link between BAU and projects in the directorate.

Ideally you will be a CCAB/CIMA qualified Accountant and having a knowledge of education finance (SEN & High Needs) is a must. The role requires strong communication skills, working closely with stakeholders across the council, preparing and presenting reports to them. You will also need excellent attention to detail, able to review and interpret large data sets and accurately map various returns.
