My client is seeking a skilled and motivated Inorganic Principal Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inorganics department requiring advanced expertise in analytical chemistry.
The role;
- Adherence to the our clients Quality Management System including root cause analysis and communicating with clients on technical matters.
- Assistance in maintenance programs for the Departments specific analytical instrumentation and any other analytical equipment used by the Department. Maintenance procedures shall ensure that instruments are kept in a clean and serviceable condition and that routine in house maintenance procedures are kept up to date.
- Develop and implement business improvement ideas, across all areas of the inorganics lab, which will enhance instrument availability, reduce the amount of re-work and the number of customer queries, and improve the quality of our analytical capabilities, and the service our clients receive
- Assist with fixing instruments when they are out of service
- Investigate and conduct non routine methodology and data generation as required by client and business
- Perform on-going training for inorganic laboratory team
- Respond to client queries in a prompt and professional manner, either directly, or in support of other colleagues
You will have 3-5 years experience with an in-depth understanding of ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Automated Colourimetric and IC methodologies, specifically in the environmental testing / water sector
Be fully conversant with the requirements of ISO17025 accreditation (essential) and MCertS (preferable)
Excellent communication skills and be PC literat and demontrate a good level of technical knowledge.
