Job description

A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced clinician to lead the ongoing development of Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) in Salford. This service is in its infancy and is part an integrated approach to ensuring high quality Perinatal and Parent Infant Mental Health (PIMH) services across the whole of Greater Manchester. Salford PAIRS are also expanding as part of the Best Start for Life national funding which is resulting in a wider staff team and expected reach. You will be part of an innovative, outstanding multidisciplinary CAMHS team in the city of Salford, and alongside multi-agency colleagues you will be leading and delivering highly specialist interventions and early intervention/prevention approaches for parent-infant populations.
This post will be a key lead in continuing to develop the 0-2 years Parent & Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) in Salford, working alongside managers, clinical leads and multi-agency partners to ensure the high-quality delivery of psychological provision, supervision, service development and research to this population group. You will work closely with multi-agency strategic leads in Salford and will be part of a service that contributes to strategic developments and innovation across Greater Manchester, including research trials, development of innovative targeted teams, CYP-IAPT and i-THRIVE.
This post is open to Clinical Psychologists and Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists, who come with extensive experience working with parent-infant mental health/CAMHS. You must be highly motivated, proactive and flexible, with the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally with diverse groups of staff (clinical and operational), and external organisations. High level skills in planning, prioritising and innovation are essential in this exciting, diverse and challenging role.
Your eligibility for HCPC/ACP Registration (or equivalent) is considered essential.
This is a 12 month fixed term post to cover Maternity leave for the existing Lead Clinician and internal MFT Employees will be considered for a secondment opportunity.
