Our client are a specialised consultancy based in Manchester, they deliver improved value to clients from planned investments in new and existing physical assets and their vision is to make a difference to our world by reducing waste and inefficiency in the creation and use of physical asset portfolios enabling the world to make better use of our planet's precious resources.
The scale and quantity of their client projects has increased rapidly, and to support their continued growth, they are seeking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Principal Consultant on a permanent basis.

Key Requirements
You will be experienced in leading the delivery of improvement projects within defence and other sectors, with a track record of achieving outstanding project outcomes and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will have the personal drive, motivation and qualities to lead the growth of our defence
Many of their clients won't make strategic decisions on capital projects or operations without their advice; hence you will need the experience, skills and gravitas to communicate authoritatively at senior executive level.
In addition to having the technical knowledge, experience, people and team skills that such a role would require, they are looking for someone with a strong business development track record and, ideally, with a client following.
To succeed in the role, the individual will have the following criteria of skills, knowledge, experience and qualities. However, we welcome diversity in background and would consider individuals with alternative, relevant experience.
10+ years experience in delivering improved asset performance in defence, nuclear or relevant industrial or infrastructure sectorsLed the implementation of improvement programmes for large clients, typically multi-site or across multiple geographiesExperience of leading teams, projects and client relationships with a track record of successExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityStrong business development track record and market focus/relationshipsStrong desire to take responsibility for growing a successful, differentiated consultancy and to contribute to wider Company developmentWilling to work on client sites with overnight stays required (travel and expenses paid)Strong aptitude for business development as well as strong presentation and people development skills
Developing new business relationships and opportunitiesPeople development, team management, operational effectiveness and strategic development of the businessContributing to wider Company developmentThe Principal Consultant would typically be the "client, opportunity and project lead" and take overall responsibility with appropriate support from the rest of the Indicatura and client team.
The Role:
As a Principal Consultant, you will be instrumental in leading Asset Management and Reliability initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Guiding client project teams and delivering diverse commissions, including Availability, Reliability, and Maintainability studies.Orchestrating the development and implementation of cutting-edge Asset Management frameworks.Crafting comprehensive analysis, recommendations, and impactful solutions for clients.Spearheading workshops, meetings, and client engagements, ensuring a high level of audience interaction.Cultivating and nurturing both existing and new client relationships to expand our business horizon.Driving people development, team management, and strategic business evolution.Playing a pivotal role in broader company development endeavours.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Over 10 years of experience in Asset Management and Reliability.Proficiency in techniques like RCM, RCA, FMEA, and experience with PAS55 and/or ISO 55000 implementation.Proven success in leading teams, projects, and fostering client relationships.Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.A robust business development track record and market-focused approach.A strong desire to contribute to a thriving consultancy and broader company development.Willingness to travel to client sites with occasional overnight stays (travel expenses covered).
The nature of this opportunity means that you will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment so you must meet all the eligibility criteria to obtain UK Security Clearance.
