SalarySRG are proud to be working with an industry leading battery manufacturing organisation with a research, development and manufacturing facility based in Scotland.
This organisation are currently looking for a highly experienced electrochemist to join their product research and development team as a principal research scientist. The team is undergoing a significant and sustained period of growth and are looking for an The right person will provide expert scientific and analytical skills, a well as the position having training and mentorship possibilities in the future.
What the role involves
- Plan and conduct electrochemical R&D of next-generation materials and flow battery devices
- Identify and assess pre-production R&D materials for the advancement of flow battery science
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
What they are looking for
- Vast demonstrable experience in electrochemical materials R&D
- Demonstrable experience in flow battery development
- Prior experience working on and developing vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs)
What they are offering
The salary for this role reaches up to £75,000 p/a, with a great benefits package on offer, alongside this the position offers flexible hybrid working.
The position may require OCCASIONAL international travel to the company's sites in Canada and the USA
