Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum

Salary on offer:
Principal Embedded Software Engineer: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum.
The role:
The successful Principal Embedded Software Engineer will take ownership lead the development and testing of embedded hardware and software, debugging, and managing the overall software development process.
Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years industry experience
• Experience of developing real time Embedded Software for devices and products
• Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
• Bare Metal Development
• Experience microcontrollers & microprocessors
• Electronic communication standards - I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485
• Test and debug of H/W
• Ability to use test equipment – Oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers
• Understanding & Experience of the full software development lifecycle – Strong Plus
• Version Control Systems – GIT, SVN, JIRA or similar
• Experienced in working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Solid understanding of electronic circuits (digital, analogue, and schematics )
• Good team work and communication skills

Desirable nice to have skills:

• RTOS experience (e.g. FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks or similar)
• Experience of STM32, PIC & ARM Cortex M Processors
• Experience with Espressif ESP32 platform
• Experience of wireless interfaces - BLE, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRA, NFC
• Network & Security Protocols – TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, REST, MQTT
• Familiarity with Agile development
• Writing test benches/ frameworks in a windows or Linux environment

Hybrid Working – 5 days in the office is preferred. But flexible hybrid working of 3 days onsite and 2 days working from is available.
