Job Title: Commissioning Engineer
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: up to £40,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 1pm

Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial machinery specialising in the design, manufacturing, and commissioning of each bespoke system.
Role Summary:
As Commissioning Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of mechanical engineering, including the execution, ensuring systems are commissioned correctly, tested, and ready for optimal performance for our global customers.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Execute commissioning activities for industrial machinery, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to develop and implement commissioning plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning phase, ensuring the functionality and reliability of the machinery.
- Conduct thorough testing of machines to validate performance and functionality.
- Document and analyse test results, identifying and addressing deviations from project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients during the commissioning process, providing updates and progress, and addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with clients to obtain feedback and ensure their satisfaction with the commissioned machines.
- Develop and deliver training programs for clients' personnel on the operation and maintenance of commissioned machines.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including manual and reports, to support ongoing operations and maintenance.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- Proven experience in commissioning industrial systems, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to think on your feet and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project requirements - expected travel 3-5 times per year for between 2-5 weeks at a time.
- HND or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering (desirable)
- Knowledge of electrical power and control systems (desirable)
- Experience of inspection and quality control (desirable)
- Experience using high precision measuring equipment (desirable)
