Commissioning Engineer Job Summary:
We're seeking a dynamic Commissioning Engineer to spearhead our commissioning service, managing large-scale water infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. You'll oversee all elements of our end-to-end commissioning service, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.
Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Oversee all stages of the commissioning process, including pre and post-site surveys.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders, including management, colleagues, and contractors.
- Monitor water treatment system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all activities throughout the commissioning process.
- Lead financial management of projects, including cost control and financial reporting.
- Facilitate team meetings and briefings to foster a positive work culture.
- Evaluate project outcomes and incorporate learnings into future projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a management role in the water industry.
- CSCS / SMSTS / SSSTS qualification.
- EUSR Water Hygiene and SHEA Water qualification.
- Excellent IT knowledge, including GIS mapping tools.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
Desired:
- ACOP 8 and L8 Water treatment, MEICA commissioning activities.
- Confined space entry certification.
Personal Specifications:
- Strong industry knowledge of large diameter mains and commissioning processes.
- Practical experience in flushing commercial and industrial water systems.
- Proven leadership skills and a drive to see tasks through to resolution.
- Methodical approach to work and eagerness to collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work flexibly, including day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
