Job description

We now have an exciting opportunity to lead our Planning Enforcement and Compliance team. The position is important and essential in maintaining and improving Lincolnshire County Council's reputation and excellent performance.

About the role

Lincolnshire is seeing significant interest in national scale energy infrastructure which will no doubt put pressure on the County's minerals and waste sites as these developments progress. Sitting as part of the applications teamthe Enforcement & Compliance team provides a number of vital services within the County and promotes a proactive monitoring regime of minerals and waste sites to ensure any breaches of planning control are identified early and resolved through negotiation.

Following the retirement of the previous postholder we are looking for someone to lead our existing team to maintain a high performing, high morale environment within the Planning Services area.

Hybrid working is an option for this role, which includes site visits. As you will be mobile across the county, a valid UK driving license is required.

About you 

You should have a Degree in Planning (or equivalent)  OR Certificate in Planning Enforcement OR Chartered or Technical Membership of RTPI OR currently working in Planning Enforcement.

Your planning enforcement knowledge and can-do attitude is what we are looking for, with excellent negotiation, communication and time-management skills with experience that is relevant to the role. You will also have the ability to manage conflicting priorities within a pressurised environment.
