Coventry City Council is recruiting a Principal Home Improvement Officer to work in the Adaptations Team.  This team works with Occupational Therapists to administer the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG).  This is a grant awarded to disabled people to adapt their home so that they are safer and more independent.  Examples of this include providing ramps, changing bathrooms into level-access showers, and widening doors.

As the team manager, your role is to supervise and support a small team of dedicated Home Improvement Officers to administer the DFG process.  This includes:


Leading, encouraging and supporting team members
Analysing data to compile reports to present to managers
Developing and streamlining the Service to provide a positive experience to clients and other stakeholders
Resolving disputes and responding to queries and complaints


Using the available resources, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists and other stakeholders to ensure that we get good outcomes for our clients.
