This is an exciting time to join the Social Services and Wellbeing Directorate, we are making a significant investment to strengthen capacity and are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for children, young people, and adults through the provision of accessible, universal services.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Principal Officer to provide operational leadership and management for the local authority’s Fostering and Placement Support which includes in-house fostering, supported lodgings, special guardianship arrangements and therapeutic support.
As part of our remodelling programme in Bridgend, placement options for care experienced children have expanded significantly following the creation of a “no wrong door” model. If successful, you will contribute to the Directorates priorities and continue to develop new models of service delivery in order to improve the quality of service being provided to children, young people and adults.
You will collaborate and develop links with partnerships and participate in multi-disciplinary work with other local authorities, regional and national bodies and other private/public/third sector organisations.
