Your Team:
As a Principal Security Services Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 75 cybersecurity professionals including five direct reports, supporting EDF UK business units by delivering top-notch Security Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will contribute to our transition from an internal IT team to a preferred internal service provider for our businesses.
The Security Services team support business units by providing secure services and platforms to enable businesses to focus on their core missions. The Security Services team enable the EDF UK business units through the available, efficient, and effective provision of services, including architecture, monitoring & response, and security technologies.
Your Role:
- Lead and guide the operational direction of Security Services across EDF UK.
- Collaborate closely with heads of business IT teams to define, manage, and deliver clear and well-defined Security Services.
- Develop plans and services aligning with respective business unit strategies.
- Define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Security Services.
- Establish transparent reporting mechanisms to showcase service performance, setting quality and professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with businesses, setting clear expectations, and demonstrating value through mature governance.
- Drive a transformational program to reduce security risks, govern investment spend, and report on progress and benefits realization.
- Provide leadership and line management to senior managers, fostering their wellbeing and development.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the longer-term Information Security strategy as part of the Enterprise Information Security Leadership team.
- Collaborate with the CISO and other leaders to cultivate a healthy work environment and a strong service culture within the team.
What You Bring:
- Extensive experience in security teams or service provider organizations.
- Proven delivery of similar services in complex regulated enterprises or within a Managed Security Service Provider.
- Strong influencing and persuasion skills, building trust-based relationships.
- Working knowledge of security technologies and concepts.
- Experience in agile delivery models such as SAFe or leadership roles featuring management matrices.
- Clear and concise communication skills with senior leadership.
- Passion for cybersecurity and leading high-performing teams.
