Blueprint Recruitment has an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a well-known, Data-Analytics and Services Consultancy, on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, project leadership, and mentorship to the Engineering staff on a range of projects. Our client is a respected Consultancy who specialise in various sectors including, Healthcare, Education, Technology, Hospitality and Legal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion
- Ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality structural Engineering design
- Be the first point of contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and third parties
- Attend multi-disciplinary design team meetings and lead them if required
- Develop scopes of work and delivery programmes
- Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team
- Effectively manage own time, particularly when allocated to more than one project
- Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities
- Be a technical champion within the team
- Check/review Structural Engineering analysis and design to both Eurocodes and British Standards
- Assist in managing the broader team through mentoring and training
- Carry out structural surveys
Key Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer or working towards ideally
- Be a technically excellent engineer with established skills and delivery capability
- Experience in the design of building structures using conventional engineering materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) to both British Standards and Eurocodes
- The ability to translate technical skills into imaginative ideas that enhance the quality of designs
- Proven experience in developing projects from concept to construction stage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to support client relationships
- Experience in actively managing clients
- Ability to manage and work to budget and program, control costs, and manage change control processes
- A flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given
- Experience in successfully leading the Structural Engineering delivery of medium-sized projects, including managing project teams.
- The ability to make decisions, act on one's initiative, and operate proactively.
- Ability to inspect works carried out on-site and monitor quality and compliance with design drawings
