Principal Tenant Engagement Officer

JOB TITLE:                           Principal Tenant Engagement Officer
SALARY:                               £37,170 - £41,358 (Job Evaluation Pending)
HOURS:                                37 hours per week

Interested in taking the lead to ensure we listen to, understand, and engage with our housing customers? We need an excellent communicator to drive a new approach to customer engagement across our housing service, and to develop new opportunities for tenants to influence our decision-making and to scrutinise our performance.

If you think this is the role for you, we’ll expect you to be fantastic at leading and influencing others, thinking creatively, and using customer feedback to recommend changes to our Senior Managers and Elected Members. 

You’ll need to be able to use data to drive improvement and shape services, and you’ll also be able to demonstrate previous experience in customer engagement, ideally in a social housing setting.

You’ll need the ability to build strong relationships with our tenants and your colleagues.

Some of the main duties will be to:

• Take a leading role in designing, writing, and delivering an inclusive Tenant Engagement Strategy for Fareham Housing.
• Ensuring support for a cultural change around tenant participation, engagement, and scrutiny in Fareham Housing.
• Oversee collating and submission of annual Tenant Satisfaction Measures, including Tenant Satisfaction questionnaires, data collection and accurate data submission.
• Take a leading role in producing and seeking content for Tenant magazines and other media and communication, to deliver the Tenant Engagement approach.
• Lead in supporting and enabling Council tenant/focus groups, panels, workshops, and other innovative programmes of activities, which support the delivery of the Tenant Engagement Strategy.

You will on occasion need to work outside of normal office hours to attending meetings and events. You will need to be flexible in the approach to this.
