SalaryThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join the Waste and Recycling Team as Principal Waste and Recycling Officer. The work of the Waste Team fluctuates with demand but is always busy so you will need a flexible approach to work.
The Principal Waste and Recycling Officer role is essential to help Amber Valley achieve statutory targets and ensure key performance indicators are met. One of the important tasks for this post is to monitor the waste service provider in a competent manner to ensure best value for money is achieved.
The Principal Waste and Recycling Officer will need to be confident and able to deal with dissatisfied customers in difficult live situations investigating complaints through to a satisfactory outcome. Also they will need to be diplomatic with the ability to communicate well and engage confidently with key stake holders at all levels.
We are looking for a person who possesses excellent analytical and numeracy skills and is proficient in MSOffice. This person must be a team player able to manage their time effectively prioritising incoming work demands, using their initiative to solve problems in a fast paced dynamic environment.
