Private Funds Associate

Douglas Scott are proud to be representing the Top Financial Services group in the US in their pursuit of two Private Fund Associates for its Washington, DC office!
The Top 40 AMLaw firm are seeking an associate with 3+ years experience in private fund formation matters.
They secure private investments spanning various key asset classes and strategies, encompassing long/short, credit, direct lending, hybrid, macro, distressed, quant, buyout, growth capital, secondaries, and funds of funds, among others. Their expertise are highly recognized and ranked in leading industry publications like Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and The Legal 500 US.
The ideal candidates will:

• have Private Fund Formation experience, including drafting and negotiating fund documentation (private placement memoranda, fund agreements, subscription agreements, advisory agreements, placement agreements, legal opinions, regulatory filings).
• have 3+ years relvant experience
• be experienced with fund raises from launch to close.
• have working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and other federal securities laws.
• have direct Private Funds experience
• have large law firm experience or prior in-house or regulatory experience.
• be admitted to to the DC bar.

The salary for this position is $250,000+ commensurate with class year and experience.
