Private Sector Housing Manager

Our client in South East England is looking for a Private Sector Housing Manager to liaise and collaborate with the Council’s Home Improvement Agency for example providing input into policies that may affect the Private rented Sector and responding to consultations on draft policies.  To improve the quality of life of residents through management of a proactive and reactive regime for enforcement of Housing legislation.To oversee the HMO inspection programme.

Contract length: Initially 3 months

Hours: 22 hrs per week

Rate: Competitive

Qualification:

Degree in Environmental Health, Housing, Building or equivalent studies (essential)

Full professional qualification for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health or Chartered Institute of Housing / Management qualification (desirable)

Experience & knowledge:

Minimum of 3 years experience working in the Housing sector in the Private Sector Housing /enforcement/grants (essential)

Experience of staff supervision (essential)

Experience of working on own initiative (essential)

Knowledge of Private Sector Housing issues e.g. enforcement and the grant regime (essential)

Experience of assessing the condition of residential property, having regard to the repair/health and safety of occupants (desirable)

NB. MUST HAVE A CURRENT DRIVING LICENSE AND ABLE TO PROVIDE A CAR FOR WORK.
