We are currently recruiting for a Private Wealth Lawyer with 0 - 2 years PQE to join our team in Birmingham.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage own caseload of private client work, including high value/complex probate work and estate planning for high net worth individuals under the supervision of senior members of the team
- Assist other case handlers in the team and wider department with their cases as may be required
- Advise and take instructions from clients in relation to their financial affairs
- Travel to and attend upon clients
- Prepare and file various correspondence, notes and documentation
- Assist with marketing the services of the team and wider department
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets\KPIs
- Ensure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered to
- Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

About You
Person specification
- Solicitor or Legal Executive ideally with a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience in Private Client law but applicants from NQ to 2 years PQE will be considered
- Keen interest and experience in all aspects of private client law with exposure to a broad range of work including trust administration and succession planning
- Ideally STEP qualified or interested in working towards STEP qualification
- Some business development skills and experience and a keen interest in developing these and taking an active role in the growth of the team
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Flexible, pro-active and team-orientated approach
