A specialist engineering company in Northern Ireland, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join the team in their environmental division.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting industry leading projects and helping to shape the culture and processes required for innovation in the water/wastewater sector.
Responsibilities:
- Identify research gaps and explore business opportunities in the environmental sector, with a focus on water assets
- Evaluate and validate innovative approaches in the water and wastewater industry to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness
- Optimise costs associated with water assets while minimising performance risks and ensuring efficient project delivery
- Identify, agree upon and manage project resource requirements to ensure successful project execution
- Provide input into business cases and grant applications, leveraging expertise to secure necessary funding for projects
- Take the lead in the management of pilot projects, overseeing their development, implementation and evaluation
- Assess NI Water capital business cases to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress, outcomes, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Qualified in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar related field
- Proven experience in the water industry with a focus on Process Engineering
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and validate innovative approaches
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Full Driving Licence
