WHAT TO EXPECT
You will be working as a Process Engineer based in our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.
You would be responsible for the design, feasibility, and optimization of the body-in-white (BIW) manufacturing process to delivery, based on customer needs.
Should have experience on process development and layout design for body & trims and final assembly.
Experience on Manufacturing feasibility assessments, aligned to engineering gateway releases, plus running change proposals.
Familiar with both production and prototype manufacturing environments including experience of fixture design/buy-off, joining technology (SPR, SWD, FDS, FSE, Laser, Clinch, Hemming, Studding, Nutting, Auto-Bolting as examples)
Creation of Manufacturing BoP and preparing design documentations for reviews.
Strategy Tooling Design and Simulation review and buy-off
Sound knowledge on Virtual Build buyoff events.
Proficient in the use of Process Designer.
Experience on asset re-use, equipment utilization and line capacity and costing.
Sound knowledge on developing Metal Tree.
Experience on Part Allocation Matrix.
Should have good communications and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
Sound knowledge on BoP Compliance.
Good Understanding of the manufacturing process such as welding, Riveting, Sealing, hemming etc.
Understanding of cycle time, JPH, take-out strategy and maintains feasibility.
Experience in working with different green field and brown field projects for BIW.
Experience in working on fitment, trims and final assembly process.
Knowledge on chases and engine assembly process added advantage.

Experience on risk management and change management techniques
Experience in project management and multi-tasking ability
Experience and knowledge of Asset management
Experience in feasibility assessments during virtual manufacturing phase
Hands on experience in software like Team center, Vis Mockup, Process Designer/Process Simulate v14.1.
A good team player and flexible to adapt to change and supporting team for overall deliverable.
