About the role:
Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a major waste management and energy company to recruit for a Process Engineer to join their new Energy from Waste Power Station, which has recently moved into full operations, and will export 15MW of electricity to the National Gird.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

* Monitoring performance and analysing data of plant at the Energy from Waste sites across the country
* Ensure emissions are monitored appropriately and are within the limits.
* Producing reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Supporting the Operations & Maintenance Team by providing technical knowledge
* Providing solutions and creating new projects to add value to asset.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

* Ideally degree qualified in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Experience, skills and knowledge:
The Process Engineer role would suit someone who has:

* Prior experience working in heavy Process Engineering environments such as Power, COMAH sites, Refineries, Paper Mills, FMCG, etc.
* Ability to perform thermal calculations.
* Experience of producing energy and mass balances as well and understanding cost models
* Steam (Rankine) cycle experience would be advantageous.
* This position would be suitable for a recent graduate who has completed a graduate scheme in a similar role
