We are looking for a team of 9 Process Operators based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire for our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs.
Job description - the role
These Process Operator positions will be based on an initial 12-month contract, and they will be on a 3 or 4 shift pattern.
Our client prides itself on employee engagement and a continuous improvement culture. On a typical day, you will be expected to engage in Health and Safety activity, produce components of the highest quality, deliver cell performance targets, conduct machine PPM, manage calibration, deliver improvement initiatives, and adopt development roles.
As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Visually inspecting components to a visual standard.
- Loading and unloading various process equipment.
- Feeding back information to Manufacturing Engineer and team.
- Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
- Work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high volume, target driven environment to follow processes and procedures to a standard as already defined.
What we require from the candidate:
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing Environment (ideally working in an operator role within a volume manufacturing environment with experience of working with Nickel, Titanium and Steel Alloys).
- Standard Grade Levels 1-3, or equivalent, in English, Maths and a Technical subject are essential.
- Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings/manufacturing instructions would be desirable.
- An up-to-date working knowledge of health and safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
