We are looking for a Procurement Administrator to join our clients team and manage the purchasing of materials, equipment, and services for our projects. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules. You will also monitor inventory levels, quality standards, and contract compliance.
To be successful as a Procurement Administrator, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. You should also have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of ethics, and a customer-oriented attitude. You should be familiar with procurement systems, processes, and best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Hours:
Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve purchase orders and contracts for goods and services
- Negotiate prices, discounts, and payment terms with vendors and suppliers
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment
- Maintain and update records of purchases, invoices, receipts, and inventory
- Evaluate vendor performance and quality, and provide feedback and recommendations
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to procurement
- Research and source new vendors and suppliers, and maintain good relationships with existing ones
Requirements:
- Knowledge of procurement systems, processes, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other relevant software
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
