Procurement and Fleet Manager - The Role:
Procurement:
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing of and negotiating with reliable suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Procure vehicles, whether through lease, purchase, or other means, according to company requirements.
- Register, obtain licenses, and insure the company’s vehicles
- Secure vehicles, drivers (during work-related activities), and relevant assets
- Partner with reputable repair and maintenance shops in favourable locations
- Oversee and schedule vehicle inspection, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime
- Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records
- At least 2years’ experience in a procurement manager role
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration would be beneficial
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations
- Procurement cost management and analysis skills are essential
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
- Management and leadership skills.
