Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Warrington or Leicester + Hybrid Working Arrangements

The Role
As a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary; a unique role that will help support growing international projects.

Day to day, you'll be working with key stakeholders, account teams and suppliers to drive operational execution of projects, bids and other critical business activities:

  • Close involvement with suppliers & stakeholders to identify and implement the most cost effective and technically efficient supply solutions in respect of cost, performance, product and/or service quality and programme.
  • Managing sourcing and tendering processes in accordance with agreed project and / or programme deliverables.
  • Early engagement with stakeholders to review and challenge specifications and develop robust/innovative procurement strategies which outline marketplace, cost levers, value levers.
  • Leading negotiations (utilising a robust strategy) with suppliers to ensure that the most cost effective supply solutions are obtained.

This role is a full-time position that is contracted at 37 hours a week and can be based at our Warrington or Leicester sites with hybrid working from home arrangements. There may also, be a requirement to attend meetings whether that is face to face or virtually.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience of the Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Experience of end-to-end sourcing and supplier management processes together with an ability to identify and capture incremental value in an operational working environment.
  • Demonstratable experience of planning and implementing supply arrangements, managing supplier performance and scheduling of deliveries.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and experience of stakeholder management as well as influencing skills is essential.
  • Good understanding of contract terms and conditions and an ability to draft subcontract terms as required and appropriate.
  • Understanding of cost models/business models particularly in relation to the NEC models, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations and supplier costing models.

Qualifications for the Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist:

  • Corporate membership of CIPS is highly desirable but, not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
