Jackson Hogg Supply Chain division are delighted to be partnering with GeoPura, based in Byker, Newcastle on the appointment of a newly-created Procurement Assistant role due to continued growth and new project wins.
This is a full time and permanent role offering a competitive salary with an annual bonus scheme and opportunity to work from home 2 days per week. GeoPura will also fully fund CIPS qualifications as part of the package!
GeoPura’s mission is to decarbonise global economies using zero-emission fuels and financially sustainable, innovative technologies to end their reliance on fossil fuels. The organisation understand the scale of the challenge, and are on a journey towards net-zero.
GeoPura’s initial focus has been off-grid, temporary and back-up power, essentially diesel generator displacement, using low-carbon hydrogen via GeoPura’s proprietary Hydrogen Power Unit (HPU). The HPUs are manufactured by their partner, Siemens Energy, at their Newcastle facility. Existing clients include Netflix, BBC, HS2, Balfour Beatty and National Grid.
Procurement Assistant - The Role:

Update records to ensure accurate supplier/order information including pricing, account/project codes, suppliers are correct for all purchase orders to be uploaded onto the system. This involves ensuring correct information is set up, maintained, and approved on the system
*
Complete weekly administration processes adhering to company procurement standard procedures including: raise purchase orders, process order to delivery and process delivery notes to be booked in.
*
Invoice query resolution, investigate issues to identify and address the root causes where three-way match hasn’t been completed
*
Follow business administration best practice disciplines
*
Must have a desire for orders to capture - right delivery, right time, right place, right quality & right price.
*
Be a representative of the Procurement knowledge centre for site Supply Chain throughout the company providing information, guidance, and support on system, ordering and price issues.
*
Support ad-hoc Procurement reporting requirements
*
Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to support purchase ordering and projects.
*
Prepare for and actively participate in category team meetings
Procurement Assistant - Person Requirements:
*
Previous procurement or supply chain experience would be desirable
*
Strong MS Office skills
*
Experience working to tight deadlines
*
Comfortable working independently and adaptable to a variety of changing priorities / multi-tasking
*
Eager to learn and share ideas as part of a growing team
