Procurement Assistant

We are supporting a global leading insurance broker who are building out their small but effective procurement function here in London. This business offer both insurance and reinsurance services to their client base across Europe, North Americas, LATAM, and Asia. By joining this business you will gain exposure to a wide range of procurement projects that support the business by delivering great value and saving money at the same time.

Your new role
As the Procurement Assistant, you will support 3 more senior procurement professionals to ensure that the P2P system is updated (Proactis) and vendor onboarding is accurate and smooth. You will be the face of procurement with key stakeholders globally by responding to any procurement needs across the business and ensuring the brief is correct and is met. You will respond to any supplier queries and ensure performance is as expected with supplier exit duties should suppliers not be performing as they should. If you have more experience in procurement, negotiation, supplier management and would like to take on more responsibility, then this is an option working under the Head of Procurement.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience supporting a procurement function in any industry. If you have experience using the Proactis system, this would be ideal, but not essential. You will be an organised individual with a good telephone and email manner to engage with your stakeholders and suppliers alike.
