Title: Procurement Associate
Location: Basingstoke, 3 days a week onsite and 2 days working from home
Contract Length: 12 months
Our client is looking for a Procurement Associate to support the Northern Hub (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK & Ireland) sales & marketing functions.
The role is responsible for supporting a number of key spend categories across the affiliates (marketing, medical, sales and support services) activities.
Responsibilities:
- Apply strategic sourcing processes, utilising project management skills and techniques to ensure timely project delivery and best value outcomes for Lilly.
- Manage supplier relationships in conjunction with business area owners.
- Act as an escalation point for contractual and performance issues.
- Negotiate and develop contracts within areas of responsibility.
- Manage sourcing/tendering process, utilising Ariba tools.
- Provide commercial advice to business areas as required.
- Work with business to develop approved supplier strategies and listings in key areas of responsibility
- Promote and ensure compliance with procurement processes and Financial Responsibility Authorisation Policy.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent if new to procurement with a deep experience of interacting with external parties
- CIPS qualification would be beneficial although not essential
- Knowledge of procurement processes and techniques
- Ability to interpret and evaluate multiple sources of information
- Commercially aware
