Procurement Category Analyst is required by a leading services business. Applicants need a strong analytical skillset and have previously managed procurement data. Experience in a procurement role; Buying, Sourcing, Category Management, Supplier Management
The Procurement Category Analyst will be responsible for owning procurement department data - analysing, managing and presenting to help drive strategy development. The role will also contain operational elements, supporting colleagues with "normal" procurement tasks; tendering/supporting, category management and supplier/contract management etc. The suppliers and categories in-scope will be typically indirect areas of spend; IT, FM, corporate/business services etc.
Procurement Category Analysts should meet the following criteria:
- Analyse, manipulate, present and draw insight from procurement data predominately using MS Excel
- Provide support to the broader procurement team across; sourcing/tendering, category management, supplier management and contract management
- Stakeholder engagement - IT, HR, Marketing, Facilities etc. communicating your work/findings
- Work with Procurement leadership team on specific projects - sustainability, governance, process improvement
- Develop and own procurement departments; trackers, KPIs, reporting, metrics etc
Procurement Category Analyst applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Strong data analysis skills, previous experience as a Procurement Analyst or working with procurement data
- Experience in a procurement role; Buying, Category Management, Supplier Management, Contract Management
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel skills and competency with other MS software packages
- An appreciation of services, particularly indirect services and how these are procured and managed
- Excellent communicator, flexible, confident and happy with hybrid working
