Our client, a well-established, highly reputable organisation in the Buckinghamshire area, is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager (IT/Tech) to join their central team. The role is responsible for providing a professional procurement service, focusing on IT related systems, services and hardware. Your responsibilities as a Procurement Manager will include:
- Working with key stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies
- Manage tenders in accordance with internal policies
- Prepare post tender evaluation reports and management information reports
- Assess and resolve procurement queries and issues
- Maintain key relationships, whilst working closely with the Deputy Head of Procurement and IT Senior Category Manager
For this position we are looking for someone who is qualified in CIPS, or someone who holds extensive experience with IT procurement related roles. Excellent communication skills, knowledge of tender documentation and a good understanding of PCR 2015 procurement regulations will be essential in this role. This person will be highly IT literate, a good communicator and someone who has good experience in negotiations.
This individual will also be self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to work towards business deadlines. Someone who will be able to demonstrate how they can maintain and nurture relationships across the organisation. Any experience of working within a large scale, complex organisation with multiple stakeholders would be beneficial.
