A renowned travel and leisure brand is recruiting a Procurement Contract Manager to join its team in London.
This role is responsible for ensuring a key business unit is commercially aware of its budgets and has appropriate controls and procedures in place to manage costs, realise financial opportunities and mitigate risks.
The Supplier Operations Manager will also provide leadership to the function to ensure that contracts are managed to deliver specified safety, quality, financial, innovation, risk, compliance and performance objectives.
For this role, the organisation is looking for individuals with strong contract and supplier management experience from any industry background.
This organisation is one of the biggest single-site employers in the UK and with a procurement team of close to 100, the long-term career progression and job opportunities are extensive.
For this role you'll be working in their London office 3 days a week, with 2 days spent working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear governance of supplier performance across cost, asset performance, compliance, risk, opportunities realisation, H&S and environmental targets
- Ensuring the contract scope is understood by the delivery teams and is supported and tested in terms of cost control, asset performance, compliance, risk, H&S and environmental targets
- Work with the business to create a culture that delivers cost savings to current cost base whilst maintaining or improving asset performance through the innovation of contracts
- Work with the Operation Managers and other team members to identify and deliver performance / cost-saving measures
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrable background in driving commercial best practice and knowledge of procurement processes
- Strong track record of delivering business improvement and change in a complex environment, achieving significant increases in operational and commercial performance, whilst reducing costs and improving efficiency
- An effective problem solver with high intellectual capability, with a record of applying a challenging and analytical approach to complex issues and developing innovative yet pragmatic solutions
- Collaborative working and strong influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to model and demonstrate appropriate behaviours to lead the change
- Proven track record in delivery of compliance within a complex work place setting (Desirable)
- Broad, transferable knowledge of a wide range of assets, systems and improvement methodologies relevant to the airport (Desirable)
