Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client based in Central London who are looking to hire 2 x Procurement & Contract Managers for their Operations category. These roles are permanent job opportunities offering a salary range of £44,000 up to £52,000 per annum plus a range of benefits. The roles operate on a hybrid basis with the expectations to be on-site 2 days per week with the remaining from home.
Reporting into the Head of Category, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing Procurement and Contract Officer resources and will have overall responsibility for developing and managing sourcing strategies and contracting processes, in line with Public Sector Regulations, relating to Operations. The role will be focused around ensuring complaint and timely solutions are delivered for the organisation ensuring also that there is ongoing supplier performance reviews, risk management, market analysis, effective use of data/MI to enable effective stakeholder management, value for money and to help ensure performance targets are met internally.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Experience working in a similar Procurement, Category, Commercial or Contract Management role in the UK Public Sector marketplace (c5 years minimum)
- Experience running end to end compliant procurements relating to Operations (i.e. Corporate Services, Fleet, Environment etc.)
- Strong understanding of PCR2015 and an awareness of upcoming changes to the new Procurement Act 2023
- Strong Stakeholder and Team Management skills - experience training/managing junior staff would be advantageous
- MCIPS qualification, or working towards achieving MCIPS status, would be advantageous
